ADB’s integrated, end-to-end approach The Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar is testimony to ADB’s end-to-end strategy and approach. The airport project was vital for Qatar, as it is part of the country’s efforts to become a preferred cross connection destination and gear up for major events like the FIFA World Cup, which it will host in 2022.Following an extensive AGL Design phase with the customer, ADB commissioned one of the world’s largest, most complex and challenging airfield lighting system solutions for the airport. The turnkey airfield ground lighting project included the full design, installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of over 8,000 airfield lights that are individually controlled by ADB’s fully automated Individual Light Control and Monitoring System (ILCMS). Furthermore, our team has integrated our AGL products with multiple, pre-existing third-party solutions to ensure the airfield systems work seamlessly to provide vital information and visual guidance to enhance runway safety.
